Located in the Southern part of the state of Sonora, Alamos is a trip into colonial Mexico. Founded in 1681, Alamos was once considered to be the richest city in all of Mexico. Because of it’s unique geological location, nestled between the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountain Ranges and the Gulf of California, Alamos has more adventure and culture to offer than any single journey can cover!

Day 1: After your previous night’s travel into Tucson (or Phoenix), we leave after an early continental breakfast. We then cross the international border with Hermosillo, Sonora’s capital, as our first stop of the tour. We arrive in time for a hearty lunch, then check in at tonight’s accommodation and take in a sweet single-track ride before a feast of a dinner!

Day 2: We leave right after breakfast. A short drive from Hermosillo and we arrive mid-morning at the enchanting town of Alamos. After checking-in to our charming accommodations, we go for a pedal on a fine hand-built single-track called the track of “Pista La Fortuna”. This evening we'll have a traditional Sonoran feast in the neighboring western town of Navajoa. We then take in a little south-of-the-border nightlife...

Day 3: After our hearty breakfast we’ll drive to a working ranch, where the local rancher approves of our choice of trusty steed, our mt. bikes. Community support around the sustainable sport of cycling has turned a community into fans of our beloved pastime. With lots of optional loops, we have distances to suit every rider's saddle-time needs. After you get your fill of more hand-built single-track we head back to Alamos for a memorable meal. After you get your fill here, you can head out for a night in colonial old Our charming accommodation at Alamos, Sonora, MexicoMexico!

Day 4: Today we trade our peddles for paddles! We have a birds-eye view of the beauty of this incredible area. The mangroves of Moroncarit are a chain of protected mangroves that offer a terrific look at the fauna and flora of this protected natural area. We return after our paddle through paradise with plenty of time to look at all the fabulous artisan gift and curio shoppes of Alamos. We regroup for our inspired last night's dinner.

Day 5: We wake-up early for an early departure back to the U.S. We’ll get you back in time for early evening departures from Tucson or Phoenix after our unique and adventurous look into colonial Mexico.
